2025/26 AGAR and Public Rights Period
Bowes Parish Council
The Council approved its 2025/26 AGAR (Annual Governance and Accountability Return) on 16 June 2026. This includes the Annual Governance Statement and Accounts. It also includes the internal auditor's report, which underpins the Annual Governance Statement. The AGAR has been submitted to the external auditor (BDO) for the statutory limited assurance review. Until this review is completed the accounts are subject to audit.
Starting on 18 June there will be a thirty working day period where electors are able to exercise their rights of inspection, questionning and objecting as set out in the Accounts and Audit Regulations.
